Batu Tulis Ciaruteun, The Relic from King of Tarumanagara Empire

Large stones, weighing eight tons of it seems very sturdy. A pair of "pandatala" (footprints) printed clearly visible on the upper part is decorated with a row of lettered inscription Pallava and Sangsekerta language. It is said that these footprints are the footprints former Maharaja Purnawarman the lead and controlled the kingdom Tarumanegara.
The inscription was first discovered by a Dutch NW Hovenman at times Ciarunteun Cisadane tributaries in 1683. From the discovery until 1965, the inscription is still in place, namely in the river Ciarunteun. It is estimated that the inscription was made in 450 AD
At first the location of the stone is on the edge of the river which is located approximately 100 meters below the location where the stone inscription was. And in 1981 the stone was removed and placed under a bell jar as they seem now. Since the initial location of the stone on the banks of the River Ciaruteun, then the stone is known as Inscription Ciaruten (Prasaati Ciaruteun).
Ciaruteun inscription written in the form poetry 4 lines, reads "vikkrantasyavanipateh shrimatah purnavarmmanah tarumanagararendrasya vishnoriva padadvayam".  Which can be interpreted as "Second (traces) that such foot (footprintst) Vishnu is belongs to the king of the world the famous heroic ruler Purnawarman Tarumanagara".
Not far from this location there are also three other sites that Inscription kebun Kopi (S006.52774 E106.69037), Site congklak (S006.52661 E106.69022) and Inscription Batutulis (S006.52328 E106.69109).
Overall Prasasati Ciaruteun, is a tourist attraction contains the value of history is quite interesting to visit.
